Fortress of Louisbourg July 8

We wanted to take the girls to a lot of places that we had been to as kids. One of the places was the Fortress of Louisbourg. It is just like living in an 18th Century Fortress. Kaitlyn called all the people in uniform Captains. I had to explain to her that they aren't Captains. lol

Our walk from the bus drop off to the main gates.
The main gates to get in the Fortress
Right along the waterfront.

This Rooster was so loud

These are probably the biggest turkey's I have ever seen. I told Kaitlyn that we were going to be having turkey for supper that night and she said that we weren't having "real" turkey we were going to be having "supper" turkey.

This was one of the lookouts where they would make sure that enemies wouldn't sneak up on them. It was pretty windy up there.

The view of the land they were watching.

Serina was enjoying a dried apricot.
