Kaitlyn's First Ballet Recital

In January Kaitlyn told me that she wanted to join Ballet. Some of her friends started it in October and she is always dancing around so I thought that we would try it. Well, she LOVED it. On Sunday April 25th she had her first recital on the big stage at the high school and she did so well. We were so proud of her. Here are some pictures from the rehearsal and recital.

Day of the Rehearsal

The bun that I had to put in her hair. Her hair never moved until she had her bath that night because there was so much gel in it.

All dressed for the rehearsal and excited to get there.

Once we got to the high school the girls were given their teddy bears that they use in their dance.

On stage for their rehearsal

There were older girls that performed the dance with them so that they could help. Kaitlyn watched the girl standing beside her when she needed to.

Getting ready for the big day. The girls were asked to wear a little bit of make up.

Coming out on stage for the Final Bow

All the dancers that performed that day. Everyone did a fantastic job.

April 2010

We have had a lot of things happen in April. Here are some highlights....

Jack came over to visit and loves to hold Serina.

This is the way I found Serina sleeping one day for her nap.

Nanny & Serina

Getting an early start on gymnastics.

She is so excited that she can stand up all by herself.

Holding on for dear life.

Learning to ride her new bike

They sure love each other.

Kaitlyn and Daddy camped out on the living room floor.

Kaitlyn's new night dress that her Nanny & Poppy Rose bought her in Disney World.

Having fun with Poppy Rose

Kaitlyn played 18 holes of golf with Nanny & Poppy and was exhausted.

Hanging out with Poppy the morning that they were leaving.

My beautiful 2 girls with Nanny & Poppy Rose.

Easter 2010

The Friday before Easter Kaitlyn and I colored easter eggs for the first time. She loved it. After they were done she kept asking if we could eat them now becuase they were chocolate. I had to explain to her many times that we couldn't because they were real eggs, not chocolate.

Kaitlyn gettting up to look for what the Easter Bunny left.

she was so excited when she found this huge kinder surprise

Kaitlyn got a skipping rope from the Easter Bunny and the girls were enjoying playing with it.

Doing her push ups again.

March 2010

I am a little behind in my posts so here are some highlights from March

Serina doing her push ups while she gets ready to crawl

It's amazing where you end up when you are pushing yourself backwards

Having fun eating by herself

Kaitlyn practicing her photography skills

I love watching the girls as they grow up. They are having so much fun together.

This is one of Serina's sweaters that is sized 9 months. Kaitlyn wanted to try it on to see if it would fit and it did except it was too short in the arms. I couldn't believe it.

This is the first time that I put 2 pig tails in Serina's hair. They are so cute.
Kaitlyn is in Gymnastics and loves to practice her stances at home. Her balance has gotten a lot better since she started this.
