Kaitlyn's First Birthday Party

Well Kaitlyn's first birthday has come and gone and she had a great time at her party. Lots of friends came over to help us celebrate and she really knew that they were all there for her. You could tell be the look on her face. She was so excited. She received lots of new cool toys and is still having fun playing with them. Thanks to everyone that shared her special day.

This is her cake that I had made for her at our local grocery store. It worked out perfect because I was able to give her one cupcake to do whatever she wanted with. At first she wasn't sure about it and just started poking at it. As soon as she stuck her finger in her mouth and tasted the frosting she was taking a huge bite out of it.

At the end of the day we decided to get a family shot.

First Snowfall 2007

We woke up this morning to see a white wonderland. We didn't know that we were expecting snow but there it was. It turned out to be a beautiful day so we decided to go outside with Kaitlyn and have some fun in the snow. We pulled her around the yard in her sled that she was given last year and she loved it. She was laughing the whole time she was in it. She even made her first snow angel. It was a great day.

Jenn's House

On Kaitlyn's birthday we went over to our friend Jenn's house to visit. This was the first time that Kaitlyn was going to see their new baby girl Olivia, who is 6 weeks old, for more then a couple of minutes. Kaitlyn loved her as she does all people. She even got to hold her for a minute. She had a lot of fun while we where there. I even got to hold Olivia for a little bit because Kaitlyn wanted Jenn to play with her.

Kaitlyn's First Halloween

This was Kaitlyn's frist Halloween so we decided to get a pumpkin to carve. where we live out in the country we don't have anyone come to our house for candy but we wanted her to experience everything about Halloween. She had a lot of fun helping to carve the pumpkin. Her job was to pull everything out from inside of it. She did really good.

This is a picture of our pumpkin all lite up after we finished carving it.

On Halloween I took her into town in her costume and we visited Daddy's office and Mommy's office. We then went to a few of our friends houses to Trick or Treat. It didn't take her long to figure out what her pumpkin bucket was for. We would say Trick or Treat and she would shake her bucket. She got lots of yummy candy. By the time we got home it was past her bedtime and she was exhausted. I think she had a lot of fun.

With Jenn and baby Olivia.

With Ron who was feeling a little devilish!

With Mike and Kelsey.

With Neil.

Taking some candy out of her bucket with Kelsey and Linda.

What was left of her candy once Mommy and Daddy took out the stuff with peanuts in it. She is going to be able to try a little of all of it.

Helping Daddy Practice

Kaitlyn really enjoys music and when Todd took out his Bass to practice she had to help. She did a lot of dancing first and then helping him play. She had a lot of fun.

Getting Ready for Halloween

We were having a lot of trouble finding a Halloween costume for Kaitlyn around town so my mom bought one in NS and mailed it to us. We received it last Friday and I just had to try it on her. It fit perfect. She is going to be a Princess. Of course for Halloween she will be wearing a long sleeved onesie and some tights. I'll post more after that.

Our Little Artist

Yesterday I decided to do some painting with Kaitlyn. I thought it would be fun to let her create her first masterpiece. Of course I had to help her by starting the picture. At first she didn't want to touch the paint. Once she did then she was covered in it. I think that she had fun. the only thing I learned was not to use the blue paint again because it stained her legs a little. LOL.

When we were all finished and she realized how dirty she was she got upset. She was also upset because I wouldn't let her put her fingers in her mouth to lick off the paint. She got right into the tub to get cleaned off.

Stairs, Stairs and More Stairs

Kaitlyn is really starting to discover new things that she can do. She had climbed the stairs once or twice a month ago but yesterday she kept doing it over and over. It was a game to her. She would climb up with us behind her and when she got to the top we would carry her down. She would then do it again and again. Now that she can go up we are trying to teach her how to come down properly.
